Ingredients
1 lb white fish (such as cod or tilapia)
8 small tortillas (corn or flour)
2 cups shredded cabbage
1 cup cilantro, chopped
1 lime, juiced
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1 tsp cumin
1 tsp paprika
Salt and pepper to taste
Olive oil for cooking
Instructions
Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add a drizzle of olive oil. Season the white fish with cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper before placing it in the skillet. Cook for about 3-4 minutes per side, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork.
In a mixing bowl, combine shredded cabbage and cilantro. In a separate small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise and lime juice. Pour this mixture over the cabbage and cilantro for a refreshing slaw.
Warm the tortillas in a dry skillet for about 30 seconds on each side. Place a piece of cooked fish on each tortilla, top with a generous spoonful of the cilantro lime slaw, and add additional lime juice if desired.
Notes
Choose fresh, sustainable fish for the best flavor and health benefits.
Marinate the fish briefly in lime juice for added flavor before cooking.
Warm the tortillas just before serving to enhance their texture.
