Description

A nutrient-dense, high-protein meal perfect for a busy weeknight. This delicious dish features lean ground chicken and crisp broccoli florets tossed in a flavorful, homemade honey-sriracha glaze. With a perfect balance of heat and sweetness, this gluten-friendly and wholesome bowl is designed to support your fitness goals while providing sustained energy without any processed additives.

Ingredients

1 tablespoon olive oil, divided
12 ounces broccoli florets, cut into bite-sized pieces
1 pound lean ground chicken (97% lean)
1/4 cup sweet chili sauce
2 tablespoons honey
2-3 tablespoons sriracha
2 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce
1 tablespoon toasted sesame oil
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon ground ginger
Toasted sesame seeds for garnish
Sliced green onions for garnish

Instructions

Heat 1/2 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Add the broccoli florets and sear for 2 minutes undisturbed to char, then stir and cook for 3 more minutes until crisp-tender.
Remove the broccoli from the skillet and set aside on a plate.
Add the remaining 1/2 tablespoon of oil to the pan and brown the ground chicken, breaking it apart with a spatula.
In a small bowl, whisk together the sweet chili sauce, honey, sriracha, soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic powder, and ginger.
Pour the sauce over the cooked chicken and stir to coat evenly.
Add the broccoli back into the skillet and toss everything together until heated through.
Garnish with toasted sesame seeds and fresh sliced green onions before serving.

Notes

Ensure the broccoli is dry before adding to the pan for a better sear. Adjust sriracha quantity depending on your preferred heat level. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
