Description
Zesty tacos with marinated white fish, tangy lime, chili spices, and creamy yogurt-lime sauce. Packed with 32g protein, fiber, and vitamin C in 25 minutes.
Ingredients
1 pound white fish (cod or tilapia)
2 limes (juiced and zested)
2 tablespoons chili spices (or taco seasoning)
8 small corn or flour tortillas
1 cup shredded cabbage
1 cup sauce (yogurt or sour cream with lime, see note)
1 teaspoon olive oil (optional for tortillas)
Instructions
Combine lime juice, zest, and chili spices in a bowl. Add fish and marinate 15+ minutes.
Heat pan over medium-high heat. Cook fish 3-4 minutes per side until flakey.
Shred cabbage and mix sauce with additional lime juice.
Warm tortillas. Assemble with fish, cabbage, and sauce.
Notes
Use cod for firmer texture; tilapia for milder flavor
Cabbage can be red or green
To make sauce: mix ½ cup yogurt/sour cream with 1 tbsp lime juice and ½ tsp chili powder
Marinating up to 2 hours enhances flavor
Optional toppings: cilantro, avocado, or diced red onion
